Rugby For All
Touch Rugby
Touch Rugby provides a space for anyone who can’t or doesn’t want to play contact rugby. It’s also a mixed gender sport! Following a successful launch season a few years back we’re now actively looking to expand our Touch Rugby team and enter various tournaments throughout the year.
The rules of touch rugby are slightly different to union contact rugby. It’s a very fast-paced and incredibly fun way to play rugby. It’s very simple to play and the more you play the better you’ll get. No matter your previous experience level, you belong here!
When & Where
Touch Training
We always welcome new players along to training sessions.
Touch Rugby Sessions (In Season)
- Monday evenings, Cleve RFC.
- 6:30pm to 8:00pm
- Season: February until end of Summer approx.
Other Sessions (Out of Season)
Touch players are more than welcome to come along to union training sessions outside of the touch season too if they like, and can take part in as much (or as little) of the contact sessions as they wish. A number of our contact / union training sessions tend to focus on expanding general rugby skills, as opposed to solely contact drills. Every session tends to end with a large game of touch too!
