What a weekend!
The Inaugural Stampede
As our very first outing hosting an event of this scale, we are absolutely blown away by the energy the rugby community brought to Bristol. This page captures the highlights of a spectacular and unforgettable weekend. The herd is just getting started, we’ll see you at the next one!
Friday Evening
Opening Ceremony
We welcomed players and supporters to our opening ceremony at The Pump House, a venue run by one our lovely sponsors: Bristol Beer Factory. Players were able to collect their wrist bands and merchandise before grabbing a drink and breaking the ice.
Saturday
Training Day
A brilliant yoga session to start the day, followed by team-building exercises, a dynamic warm-up, and rotating skills clinics. After lunch, a deep-dive classroom session tackling individuality in sport and breaking down mental barriers in rugby, followed by intense, position-specific training for forwards and backs.

Drag Bingo & Club
The fun continued off the pitch on Saturday with an unforgettable evening of entertainment. We started with a laughter-filled session of drag bingo hosted by the fabulous Cynthia Road, before heading into the night at the Queenshilling, one of our lovely sponsors.
Sunday
Tournament Day
Sunday was where it all came together, with the coaches mixing up the herd into balanced squads to battle it out for the Stampede Cup. Players were thrown into new combinations and unfamiliar positions, pushing everyone to develop and level up their game.

Exhibition Match
On Sunday we invited the MaaMaas (Mums Who Play Rugby) to join us for an exhibition match against a combination of players from women's teams locally, which we called The Stampeders.

Closing Party
The herd returned to Queenshilling to close out what was an epic weekend of rugby!
