So you think inclusive rugby might be for you?

Bristol Bisons train twice weekly from September through to June, taking approximately 6–8 weeks break during high summer.

Thursdays, 7–9pm

Our main training sessions take place on Thursday evenings 7–9pm at Clifton RFC, approximately 5 minutes from J17 of the M5 motorway. These sessions are structured by our coaching team and include everything from basic handling and tackling to the advanced rules of Rugby Union. We will always take into account your ability, experience and the level at which you wish to participate – there is no pressure to be involved in full contact training until you feel comfortable and safe to do so.

Mondays, 7–9pm

We also run a second weekly training session, also usually at Clifton RFC. This second session is an opportunity to focus on rugby skills and fitness, and can be anything from some fun drills to games of touch rugby. During Daylight Saving Time (Spring/Summer) we sometimes vary the location of this session to make it more accessible, but during Autumn/Winter require floodlights so find ourselves back at Clifton RFC.

Give Rugby A Try

We welcome new membership throughout the season but for prospective members who wish to come to a taster session safe in the knowledge that others will be in much the same boat we put on an annual ‘Give Rugby A Try’ event. Keep an eye on our social channels for more information!

Meet the Bisons

The club plans to run a regular ‘Meet the Bisons’ social in the near future for those who would feel more comfortable in the first instance getting to know club members outside of a sporting scenario.
