A Portrait of Pride
Every June, the Progress Flag is hoisted on flag poles around the world: it is hung from window sills, and overlaid on company logos, and stuck on bumpers of the LGBTQI+ communities and Allies around the globe.
The Progress Flag is more than just cloth and stripes: it is freedom for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Freedom to live openly.
Freedom to express yourself.
Freedom from constraints on who you are.
And especially in Pride Month, we hold it high for those that are out and proud, those that aren’t sure, those that can’t just yet, and those that are no longer with us.
The Bristol Bisons are proud to celebrate Pride Month with our very own Pride Flag.
We make no secret of who we are, both on and off the pitch. As the South West’s first inclusive Rugby Club, we keep the spirit of inclusivity and equality alive everywhere we go: on the pitch, on the web or in our daily lives.
Every single member has fought to be here today in some way. Our journeys have not been easy or comfortable, and some still aren’t, but until the day comes when the LGBTQIA+ community can live without prejudice, judgement or risk, we’ll keep fighting.
